Two additional sites purchased as company prepares for ground breaking
DENVER, COLO. – Ambrose Property Group today announced it will expand its DIA Logistics Park at PORTEOS by purchasing two additional sites within the existing industrial development. The sites, which total more than 40 acres combined, are located in Aurora, Colorado at 64th Street between Jackson Gap Street and Powhaton Boulevard. The sites will be an extension of the DIA Logistics Park announced by Ambrose earlier this summer.
“We are committed to making DIA Logistics Park at PORTEOS the ideal solution for businesses looking for modern logistics and e-commerce real estate in both the Denver metro area and the entire mountain west region,” said Grant Goldman, Ambrose executive vice president of development. “These acqusitions came at an exciting time, as we are also preparing to break ground on the first building of the park next month.”
Plans for the new sites include Building III, a 277,000-square-foot building, and Building IV, a 197,000-square-foot building. Both Building III and Building IV are perfectly suited for logistics and e-commerce needs, with infrastructure in place at both sites. Ambrose will seek LEED® v4 Certification for Core & Shell on both buildings. Construction is expected to start on Buildings III and IV in 2022.
Progress at the park
Construction on the first building at DIA Logistics Park will begin this fallBuilding I will be a 629,000-square-foot warehouse with 40-foot clear height, a first for industrial speculative development in the Denver market, and also seek LEED® v4 Certification for Core and Shell. Construction will also begin this fall on a 1,029,000-square-foot building pad for Building II within the park. Infrastructure is already in place for Buildings I and II.
DIA Logistics Park at PORTEOS is situated within the larger 1,200-acre PORTEOS park. Drive times to places such as Denver International Airport (DIA), downtown Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins range from just five minutes to 75 minutes. The park’s convenient location has attracted a number of prominent retail and logistics companies. With several recent and upcoming road improvements occurring and infrastructure already in place for the sites, Ambrose expects high demand for the project.
