Other developers saw “functional obsolescence” within one of the most recognizable buildings in downtown Indianapolis. We saw the start of something new. We embarked on the project to help bring new life to the Monument Circle and it worked.
Today, the Circle Tower stands as one of the best examples of revitalization within our Circle City. We have brought in young, vibrant companies such as MilesHerndon, High Alpha and Geofeedia. We liked the building so much, we even moved in ourselves.
In 2012, Ambrose Property Group acquired the nationally recognized historic Circle Tower from Winthrop Realty Trust. The 111,000 square foot Rubush and Hunter designed building has been home to both retail and office tenants since its 1930 completion. Ambrose quickly repositioned the building towards the youthful, high-tech vibe on Monument Circle. Within three months of finalizing the purchase they completed more than 30,000 square feet of renewals and new deals, raised occupancy, initiated on-site property management, commenced a building upgrade plan and earned an Energy Star rating.
